You can even work up a sweat under all those layers!
Have you been out to brave the weather for some winter fun yet this year? If you haven’t and you’re looking for a little cold weather camaraderie, try this local NYC hang out for some cold weather this January.
NYC is full of some of the most famous outdoor skating rinks in the world – Rockefeller Center, Wolman Rink, Bryant Park – all have become tourist destinations immortalized in pop culture that holiday tourists flock to when they’re in town. Because of Oriana’s central location in Sutton Place, all of these outdoor rinks are about ten minutes from your apartment. However, if you want to get in a little ice time away from the crowds, head across the Queensboro Bridge or take the subway to Long Island City!
LIC ICE – Long Island City is becoming popular for its street art and luxury lofts, but it’s skating rink has been a neighborhood staple for years. Considered NYC’s elite training facility for ice hockey, kids and adults can enjoy affordable lessons and competitive leagues, as well as frequent lessons and visits from some of our area’s top NHL players! You won’t find any tourists at this local rink, but it’s a great place to work up a sweat on the ice this January.
